Short read on what we’re seeing in the directory this month. Numbers are approximate and based on approved listings in the last 30 days.
Biggest categories by new listings
- Minecraft — still dominant. Vanilla+ SMPs and Create-based modded packs are over half the new submissions.
- FiveM (GTA V roleplay) — fastest grower. New whitelisted RP servers are launching weekly, mostly EU.
- Rust — wipe-day cadence keeps Rust listings churning, but new servers churn fast too.
- Old-school RuneScape (OSRS) emulators — small in absolute numbers, steady in volume.
- ARK / Ark Ascended — modded clusters dominate, vanilla almost extinct.
Trends to watch
- Smaller is winning. New SMPs cap at 50–100 players and whitelist heavily. The “thousands online” era is fading for private servers; mid-size communities convert better.
- Discord-first onboarding. Almost every approved listing this month sends new players to a Discord application before exposing the IP.
- Wipe schedules are getting clearer. Owners who publish a wipe calendar on day one retain players longer.
Owner notes
If you’re submitting a listing this month: the listings that get approved fastest have a one-sentence description that says what kind of player will be happy here. “Vanilla+ Minecraft, 18+ EU SMP, no PvP, weekly events” is good. “Best server!!!” is not.
